Werner Weiss recognized as a finalist of the "Entrepreneur of the Year 2011"

With the most highly-respected German entrepreneurs' prize, the auditing and consultancy company Ernst & Young recognizes the best entrepreneurs from medium-sized companies in Germany. Impressive growth rates, a great deal of innovativeness and involvement in social aid projects – these are the assessment criteria for the competition that will be held for the 15th time in 2011. 300 companies were nominated for the prize; after a stringent, multi-stage preselection process, 65 of them progressed to the final, including Insiders Technologies as one of three companies from Rhineland-Palatinate. Members of the high-caliber jury included Prof. Lothar Späth, former Minister President, Prof Hans-Jörg Bullinger, President of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, and Prof. August-Wilhelm Scheer, founder of IDS Scheer AG.
Winner of "Award for Medium-Sized Companies" 2009
The most important German prize for medium-sized companies is awarded to companies whose performance has earned them special recognition and who act as role models due to their ability to cope with the challenges of the future. Key criteria are the overall development of the company, creating and securing jobs and traineeships, modernization and innovation, involvement in the region, service, close customer relations and marketing.
In 2009, a total of 3,366 companies of all sizes, from all sectors and with all types of ownership from all over Germany were nominated for the competition, including 330 outstanding medium-sized companies from the region of Rhineland-Palatinate/Saarland. Six of these companies were recognized as finalists and Insiders Technologies was named the award winner.

Based on the motto "Success thanks to innovation in medium-sized companies", the aim of the Medium-Sized Businesses Program (Mittelstandsprogramm) is to improve the long-term competitiveness of medium-sized companies by introducing innovations. At the award ceremony in the Karlsruhe concert hall, the sixth round of highly-respected awards were bestowed on selected companies.
