“Alexander Huber very impressively showed us how challenges that seem unsurmountable can be conquered with enthusiasm and inventiveness,” says Werner Weiss, Managing Director, Insiders Technologies. He goes on, “it is obvious that this applies to the software business in particular: We have to face the challenges that await us in the future and provide new innovative products to support our customers on their way through digital transformation.”
Alexander Huber is one of the most successful mountaineers of our time. Together with his brother Thomas Huber, the “Huberbuam” (“Huber boys”) form one of the strongest rope teams worldwide. Among their many achievements are the first ascent of the Berchtesgaden alps, the gigantic west face of the seven-thousander Latok II, freeclimbing routes and speed records in California’s Yesemite Valley, and last but not least the redpoint ascent of the “Eternal Flame” route at the world’s biggest rock tower, the Nameless Tower in Pakistan. The characteristics of the “Huberbuam’s” achievements are not only the complexity of the mastered challenges, but especially the great inventiveness with which they face them.
“Shaian” is a group of musicians that consists of refugees of different nationalities and musicians from the Kaiserslautern region. It was named after a nine-year-old refugee girl. The musicians want to show that music can indeed build bridges; they carry their homeland in their hearts and sing from the soul. In 2016, the group was presented with an award for voluntary work by the premier of Rheinland-Pfalz, Malu Dreyer, for the project and their dedication to its cause.
