For the fourth year running, Insiders Technologies GmbH is one of the leading innovators among Germany’s SMEs. The TOP 100 seal of approval was presented for the 24th time by Ranga Yogeshwar, Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke, and compamedia on 23 June 2017. Insiders Technologies once again succeeded in convincing the independent panel of judges of its excellent innovation climate and its expertise in the field of Open Innovation especially.
As a globally-operating software provider from Kaiserslautern, Insiders Technologies GmbH works closely with research and development facilities such as the Fraunhofer Institute for Experimental Software Engineering (IESE) and the TU Kaiserslautern. These collaborations are one source of its innovative potential, allowing the four-time Top-Innovator and “Innovator of the Year 2015” to develop intelligent software products that digitalize and analyze documents according to customer’s needs. The most recent innovation is an application that uses “Deep Learning” – a method of Artificial Intelligence –, which enables the software to recognize text as well as objects. “In future, insurance holders may check the status of their contents insurance by taking pictures of household items with their smartphone and forwarding them to their insurance company”, explains Werner Weiss, CEO of Insiders Technologies GmbH. For the development of this technology, Insiders works closely with renowned experts in the field of Deep Learning.
As a rule, Insiders attaches great importance to research, which especially found favor with the TOP 100 jury. In addition, the exceptional climate of innovation within the company makes Insiders stand out among other companies. Every one of its app. 130 employees is encouraged to contribute their thoughts and try out new ideas in teams. The TOP 100 Competition
Since 1993, compamedia has been awarding the Top 100 seal of approval to SMEs with a particular ability to innovate and above-average success rates for innovations. Professor Nikolaus Franke has coordinated the project since 2002. He is the founder and director of the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration and a visiting professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He is one of the world’s leading innovation researchers and has won 18 science awards and published over 200 articles.
